Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was launched by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to safeguard the health of women and children by providing them with clean cooking fuel (LPG). Under Ujjwala 2.0, eligible adult women from low-income households receive a deposit-free LPG connection, the first refill cylinder free of cost, and a free hotplate (gas stove), alongside a targeted ₹300 subsidy per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 9 refills a year.

Visit PMUY Portal or Nearest Gas Agency
Access pmuy.gov.in and click 'Apply for New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection', or visit an Indane, Bharatgas, or HP Gas distributor.
Select Preferred Oil Marketing Company
Choose your distributor (IOCL / BPCL / HPCL) nearest to your residence.
Fill KYC and Family Declaration
Enter personal identity, Aadhaar number, family member list, and bank account for DBT subsidy.
Document Verification
LPG distributor verifies that no other connection exists in the same household through de-duplication check.
Collect Cylinder and Stove
Once sanctioned, the distributor delivers the gas cylinder, regulator, safety hose, and stove with the customer passbook.
