Kanyashree Prakalpa is a globally acclaimed conditional cash transfer scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal. It aims to improve the status and well-being of the girl child by incentivizing schooling of teenage girls and delaying their marriage until at least the age of 18. It provides an annual scholarship of ₹1,000 (K1) and a one-time grant of ₹25,000 (K2) upon reaching the age of 18.

Collect Form from School / College
Collect the official K1 (Green) or K2 (Blue) application form from your educational institution free of cost.
Fill Student Particulars
Fill in your personal details, institution registration number, bank account IFSC, and Aadhaar number.
Submit to Head of Institution
Submit the filled form with attached photo and verified documents to your school/college Kanyashree Nodal Teacher.
Online Institutional Upload
The institution uploads your application onto the portal (wbkanyashree.gov.in) with official seal and signature.
District Approval & DBT Disbursal
District Nodal Officer approves the claim, and funds are directly credited into your bank account.

Can college students apply for Kanyashree K2 grant?
Yes, any unmarried girl who turned 18 between April 1 and March 31 of the academic year and is enrolled in college or university can apply for the ₹25,000 K2 grant.
