Scheme Overview
The PM Vishwakarma scheme is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of MSME to extend comprehensive support to traditional artisans and craftspeople working with their hands and tools. The scheme provides recognition through Vishwakarma ID cards, basic and advanced skill training with ₹500/day stipends, ₹15,000 modern toolkit incentives, collateral-free credit at concessional 5% interest, and marketing assistance.

- Collateral-free Enterprise Development Loans: 1st tranche up to ₹1,00,000 (18 months) and 2nd tranche up to ₹2,00,000 (30 months) at only 5% interest.
- Incentive of ₹1 per digital transaction for up to 100 transactions per month.
Eligibility Criteria
Ensure you satisfy all the following government conditions before applying:
- 1Must be a traditional artisan or craftsperson working in one of the 18 eligible trades (e.g. Carpenter, Boat Maker, Armourer, Blacksmith, Hammer and Tool Kit Maker, Locksmith, Sculptor, Goldsmith, Potter, Cobbler, Mason, Basket/Mat/Broom Maker, Coir Weaver, Doll & Toy Maker, Barber, Garland Maker, Washerman, Tailor, Fishing Net Maker).
- 2Minimum age of 18 years on the date of registration.
- 3Only one member per family is eligible to receive scheme benefits.
- 4Must not have availed credit under similar central or state schemes (PMMY, PMEGP) in the past 5 years.

Visit Nearest CSC (Common Service Centre)
Artisans can visit any Common Service Centre (CSC) or log on to pmvishwakarma.gov.in.
Aadhaar e-KYC Verification
VLE at CSC performs biometric fingerprint/iris or OTP authentication of the artisan.
Select Trade and Fill Details
Choose your traditional trade out of the 18 identified categories and submit family details.
Three-Tier Multi-Level Verification
Application is verified by Gram Panchayat / Urban Local Body, followed by District Implementation Committee and State Screening Committee.
Download Vishwakarma Certificate
Upon successful verification, download your PM Vishwakarma Digital Certificate and ID Card to enroll for training and toolkit voucher.
